You guys. Winter is wreaking havoc on my feet. They are so rough, dry, and just plain icky. (Don’t worry, I will not be showing you a photo of them. You’re welcome.)
Last week when we were stuck inside for excessive periods of time due to ridiculously cold temps outside, I decided to do something about this unfortunate situation. I did a little research on homemade body scrubs and came up with a recipe for a homemade sugar cookie foot scrub that works wonders and smells amazing! (Click HERE to smell. (Did you click? Be honest.))
This scrub is the perfect treat at the end of a long day, minus the calories. So you may want to make some of it for yourself or for a friend with dry foot syndrome. (I’m sure a drug company will be releasing a medication for that fake disease ASAP, pending FDA approval, of course.)
Here’s what you need:
- 1 cup of epsom salt (you buy this at a drugstore or even Dollar Tree – it’s not edible like table salt)
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup of olive oil
- 2.5 tablespoons of vanilla extract
Literally, all you do is pour your ingredients into a bowl and mix them up. Place the mix into airtight containers and you’re good to go!
Now, if you’re thinking of giving some of this fabulous foot scrub out as a gift like I am, I’ve decided to help you out and give you these labels to make your scrub all fancy-like. All you have to do is click to download the PDF printable of Sugar Cookie Foot Scrub Labels, print it out, cut or punch the labels out, and attach them to your jars of foot scrub.
With a supply of this in the medicine cabinet, I really have no excuse to continue living with feet like those of a cavewoman. And for that, my husband is grateful.
