When my husband and I bought our home six years ago, it was kind of a mess. From the awful paint colors to the outdated kitchen to the basement that had a river running through it every time it rained (mold, anyone?), it had a lot going on. But despite its shortcomings, it had SO MUCH POTENTIAL because of the vintage charm that oozed out of its pores. Original basketweave tiling, leaded glass doors, crystal doorknobs, a vintage chandelier – the list goes on and on. And really, the vintage charm is what convinced me it was (and still is) the perfect home for us!
Many homes don’t come with all that vintage charm built in, but that’s no problem at all! If that’s a look you like, there are so many ways to instantly add vintage charm with new products! I’m sharing some of my favorites right here!

These bulbs are awesome! Pop them into sconces or chandeliers for a totally vintage look. They’re slightly more expensive than regular bulbs, but SO much more attractive than those CFL spirally disasters.
Ceiling lights are one of the easiest ways to give your home a vintage look! There are SO many options out there now, and you can get them relatively inexpensive at places like Home Depot and Amazon. How cute is this one, paired with the Vintage Bulb above?
Adding furniture with a vintage look is a great way to inject some old-time charm as well. This style of coffee table gives a vintage look, but would also work with other styles of decor like industrial, modern and farmhouse. Perfect if you want to switch up your look down the road!
Well, what do you think? Would you add any of these products to your own home? Which of these is your favorite? I think if I had to pick one to add right now, it would be the card catalog drawer pulls!
