A Festive Christmas Coffee and Cocoa Bar

Christmas morning.  It’s one of my favorite times of the year.  The kids are beside themselves with excitement and everyone is enjoying spending time together as a family.  It is as close to perfect as perfect can be.

Except . . . see . . . I have a problem.  I tend to get a little bit cranky while waiting for Christmas breakfast during gift opening.  Anyone who knows me understands that it is imperative for everyone’s well-being that I be well nourished at all times.  So anyway, this year I got really smart and set up a Festive Christmas Coffee and Cocoa Bar in the living room – right where we open gifts on Christmas morning!  Coffee, cocoa, and carbs – enough fuel to keep the present opening going strong!A festive coffee and cocoa bar is the perfect addition to your Christmas morning traditions! Now obviously I could have just made some coffee in the kitchen on Christmas morning and tossed some donut holes onto a paper plate, but really, what’s the fun in that?  Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, and it only seems right to make things extra special where and when you can.  A festive coffee and cocoa bar is the perfect addition to your Christmas morning traditions! Because of that, I was really excited to find out about Paper Riot‘s SUPER cute and SUPER affordable holiday wall decals, which are available in Target stores and online.  You can also find some non-holiday Paper Riot decals at Kohl’s.  They stick to almost any smooth surface, are completely removable, repositionable, and reusable, and are just plain fun!Paper Riot removable and repositionable decals are a perfect no-commitment decor for any occasion!

They come in so many types and patterns, and helped me customize my Christmas coffee and cocoa bar in no time!  I started with the totally fun Chalkboard Banner Decals and wrote a cute little Christmas saying on it with the chalk that came in the box.  For some added fun, I attached baker’s twine to the back of each banner decal once all the pieces were up on the wall.A festive coffee and cocoa bar is the perfect addition to your Christmas morning traditions! The best part about the Chalkboard Banner Decals is that I can erase the writing from the decals and write whatever I want the next time I want to use them!  A festive coffee and cocoa bar is the perfect addition to your Christmas morning traditions! If chalkboard writing isn’t your thing, or if you have awful handwriting, Paper Riot has other removable banner decals that are pre-printed for you!  I swapped out the Chalkboard Banner Decals for these Merry Christmas Banner Decals and loved them!  (My wall was too small to hang the “Christmas” part of the banner, but the “Merry” is cute on its own!)  I added a little washi tape in between the decal pieces to look like ribbon.  Cute, right?A festive coffee and cocoa bar is the perfect addition to your Christmas morning traditions! Other fun elements I added to my Christmas coffee and cocoa bar are the completely adorable Glitz ‘n Glam Dimensional Wall Snowflakes that I used to dress up a plain wooden sled from the craft store.  A festive coffee and cocoa bar is the perfect addition to your Christmas morning traditions! These snowflakes also look FABULOUS on my windows.  I just love them!A festive coffee and cocoa bar is the perfect addition to your Christmas morning traditions! Learn how to set up and decorate a coffee bar of your own in this post.

I also used Paper Riot’s Chalkboard Label Decals to notify all visitors to my coffee and cocoa bar which drink is which.  (We wouldn’t want anyone getting confused now would we?)  A festive coffee and cocoa bar is the perfect addition to your Christmas morning traditions! I really believe that special details like these make memories even sweeter.  I’m so excited for this new addition to my family’s Christmas traditions (and I’m also excited that I won’t subject anyone to any hunger-induced crabbiness on the most festive day of the year)!  A festive coffee and cocoa bar is the perfect addition to your Christmas morning traditions! Make sure to check out Paper Riot’s full line of repositionable and reusable decals the next time you’re at Target or Kohl’s, and also find Paper Riot on Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram.  Add a little riot to your life!  A festive coffee and cocoa bar is the perfect addition to your Christmas morning traditions! What a cute vignette, Bre! I agree that you need food and coffee for gift opening. Now that my children are older, I think we enjoy just sitting around a circle drinking coffee as much as we do opening gifts. We never take that time on normal basis, so it feels like such a treat in and of itself!

Thanks so much, Seana! Yes – I have definitely learned that we all must be nourished during Christmas morning! And that sounds so sweet to be hanging out with your children. I bet you are looking forward to next weekend so much! Cheers to you and yours!
