In my Winter Mantel Decor post, I mentioned how sick I am of my regular mantel decor, and my home decor in general. I’ve had much of the same “stuff” for at least nine years now, and some of it is starting to look a bit tired. (Much like me, I suppose.)
Because of that, I’ve started looking around for something new to hang over my mantel to help inspire a switch up in the rest of my living room. I like the idea of a mirror because it will help add more light to a dark room that only gets sunlight for a small part of the day. Originally, I was leaning toward a light wood-framed mirror, but decided that the room has so many wood finishes already, and that something lighter would be better.
And so . . . I think I’ve settled on brass. Yup, brass! Now, I’m not talking about that horrible 1980’s shiny brite brass, friends. (Phew. Collective sigh of relief.) I’m talking about the beautiful antiqued brass that has been appearing in every home decor retailer on the planet. It makes sense, really. This finish is so versatile! It has a timeless appeal that works in pretty much any decor style, whether it’s traditional, eclectic, mid-century, farmhouse, or just about anything else!
My eyeballs are just about to fall out after having looked at soooo many brass mirrors over the past several days, but I couldn’t wait to share some of my favorite finds with you! Of course not all of these styles will work in the setting for which I need a mirror, but they were too cool not to share!

I have a feeling you’re going to LOVE some of these brass mirrors I found! And guess what? One of them is under $20! I don’t think you could pick it out just by looking at it (but if you do, let me know)!

So now two big questions remain: (1) which one of these mirrors is your favorite; and (2) do you think any of these will work for over my mantel?
