My Dining Room Decorated for Fall

I cannot believe it’s that time of year to be putting out fall decor.  I feel like it was last week that I shared my 2015 Fall Home Tour with you, and now here we are again!  Last year I really had my act together and had lots to show you; this year, not so much.  But I did manage to get my dining room spruced up for the season, so let me show you around!  And if you feel like you didn’t see enough autumn decor in my post, you’ll find links to lots of other gorgeous homes decorated for fall, thanks to Meg from Green With Decor who is hosting this lovely fall home tour blog hop! Fall decorating ideas from 34 talented bloggers - click through for links to them all!

So, this is my dining room.  I have never put much decor in here for the fall, but this year it was kind of fun to dress it up a bit.  This dining room is decorated for fall and autumn with shades of the season and lots of neutral tones.

I went light and bright with the decor since the furniture is so dark and heavy.  This dining room is decorated for fall and autumn with shades of the season and lots of neutral tones. This fall centerpiece features white pumpkins and mercury glass for a sophisticated look.

I ordered this table runner from Etsy and I LOVE it!  I am obsessed with buffalo check, so I knew I wanted to add some of it to my decor this year.  It makes me so happy!  This dining room is decorated for fall and autumn with shades of the season and lots of neutral tones.

My collection of mercury glass votives adds some glamour to the table.  I use these things all the time!  They’re so versatile as candle holders, vases, and pumpkin stands!  This dining room is decorated for fall and autumn with shades of the season and lots of neutral tones. This simple fall centerpiece features white pumpkins, mercury glass, and candles for a pretty and neutral look.

I found the wooden box centerpiece at HomeGoods.  I plan to stain the box and add a little metallic wax to the pinecones and those brown seed pod things (what are those? I am seeing them everywhere in autumn decor and have no clue what they are!), if I get around to it.  This dining room is decorated for fall and autumn with shades of the season and lots of neutral tones.

My little acorn banner was a Target Dollar Spot find from last year.  Love that.  This dining room is decorated for fall and autumn with shades of the season and lots of neutral tones.

I even went a little festive in the china cabinet.  Pumpkins in dishes, on top of cups, and on a cake stand.  Why not?  This dining room is decorated for fall and autumn with shades of the season and lots of neutral tones.

And over at the butler’s tray table I popped some fall leaves into the cylinder vase and added some fall stems into the green bottles.  Super quick and super easy. This dining room is decorated for fall and autumn with shades of the season and lots of neutral tones.

I am not sure I will add much, if anything, to this room for the season.  I think it’s pretty well decked out for now.  Maybe I’ll stick a little turkey in the china cabinet come Thanksgiving.  We will see.  🙂  This dining room is decorated for fall and autumn with shades of the season and lots of neutral tones.

Thanks so much for visiting today.  I hope you enjoyed seeing my dining room decorated for fall.  I also hope that you’ll go visit some of the other people on this great blog hop!  I know they will love to have you stop by.

Hi Bre! Your dining room looks so pretty! I’m all about the buffalo check – it just says “fall” to me.. love those fall stems in the green bottles and your cute little acorn garland. I never leave the Target dollar spot, especially at this time of year, without needing a truck to bring it home!

Thank you, Kim! I have such a hard time with the Dollar Spot, too! Recently my Target didn’t have it because they were remodeling the front of the store, and I saved so much money! I was a little disappointed to see it back when I went to Target yesterday. Hahaha!

So beautiful!! You always have the best ideas! I love how you filled your wooden box centerpiece! I finally bought a long box like that…and it’s been empty for months now because I have been struggling to figure out what to put inside. Ha! Pinning yours! Also, the mercury glass as pumpkin stands is pure genius! I need to get my mercury glass out of the Christmas box in attic! 😉
